The coaching staff in Hartford has changed before (with Ulf Samuelsson becoming assist coach in Phoenix) and will probably change again this off-season. Shoenfeld doesn't really want to continue coaching--he's said all along that he wants to get out of coaching and focus on his GM duties--and all indications are that Gernander will take over as head coach in the fall.

Sather will pick someone he knows. It will either be someone already in the organization (Schoenfeld or Clarke) or someone he's worked with before.

My own choice would be Anders Hedberg.
