I think it'd be fair to say that both player have stuggled this year.

Brewer averages 24 minutes of ice time a game. His offensive game hasn't come around this season, but he's still a stay-at-home beast. He can hit, stake, and pass. He's been awesome in the playoffs, and was solid for Team Canada at the Oympics. He'd be a mainstay on our blueline for a long time. We desperately need a big time crease clear like him that can log big, important minutes. Yes, his salary is more than Legwand. He makes 2.5 million. However, if I'm not mistaking, Legwand will make close to 2 million next year. Not that much of difference.

I'd certainly consider it.
