I've been really hard on the team this year, complaining that they never win the games they should and that they save their worst performances for the most important games.
Well I take it all back now. This game is huge for us. We are clinging to the coveted 26th overall slot and a shot at the first overall pick after our recent little hot streak. The Rangers are just one point up and Atlanta is just two points ahead of them. I know it is only early, but for once, it appears the boys will step up and find a way to get the job done. I mean, Columbus at the RBC. I know I didn't think we could spot them two in the first, but give the team credit, they found a way to deliver and I am eating crow.
I joke, but as hard as it is to watch, there is absolutely nothing to be gained by finishing 25th. It might be the worst possible place to finish. I'm glad I am taking time out of my 70 hour work week to see this big effort in this big game. Enjoy fellas.
