We're obviously a better team with Kovalev than without him, but we're far from serious contenders. It's easy to see how Toronto, Philly, NJ, Boston and now even Ottawa are much bigger and more physical teams than we are and that's where we'll struggle. Skill wise we're looking pretty good - and Theo will steal a few games - but there's little doubt that we'll get worn down in a physical 7 game series, and if we manage to win one the next series will be equally as demanding and we'll be heading into it that much more worn down.

With the roster as is, our best match up would be Tampa Bay...that could be an easy 1st round oppenent. If we want to seriously compete, we need a top 6 winger with grit (O'Neill) and another solid defenseman (Hill? Carney? Witt?). With those types of additions I think we'd still be underdogs, but our chances would be ALOT higher.
