you have Sauer and Staal as shut-down guys, and i assume they could be paired with the Offensive guy(s) to balance the pairings. i dont think Sanguinetti has much on Sauer in terms of getting in his way.

Stay-at-home & More Offensive
Girardi & Tyutin
Staal & Sanguinetti
Sauer & ??

not saying at all this is how the lines will turn out, but i like these pairings in terms of balance..

and, am i wrong in thinking that d-man pairings ideally should be like this?
