No, Shanahan's cap hit for the season is 5.3 million. However, because 2.8 of that 5.3 is through a bonus (this assuming he hits 10 games), the Rangers will be able to transfer some of the bonus to next year's cap hit if they go over the bonus overage of the cap. If not, it all counts towards the 07-08 hit.
