With the skills Rucinsky has, the types of goals he *can* score, he *looks* like he should be a 30 goal man, but I think that's not true. I've actually come to think of him almost like a Jere Lehtinen type -- not so much in that he's a defensive specialist, but in that he's a good all-round forward who can neatly complement two attacking players.
When Rucinsky was on a line with Lindros and Bure (like he should have been last year), and he complemented them extremely well. Perhaps they loved playing with him not because he could pot all manner of goals, but because with him on the ice, they had a winger who gave them the confidence to push in the offensive zone. This year, he's not had attacking forwards with him all the time (playing mostly with Holik), and his production hasn't been great, numbers-wise. His contribution to the Rangers has been great, however.
