Jarkko Immonen

Despite Renney's contention about his "footspeed" problem, I still think Immonen is a viable option to fill the third line center position after trading Cullen. I don't think our other prospects are quite ready, and I don't think Immonen has been given a real chance in the NHL yet (20 games). He scored six points in 14 games last season, including two power play assists, so he could be a valuable asset, also being able to play LW if someone like Straka were to be injured.

So I'm basically looking for two types of responses: Do people think Immonen there would be a good idea? And what is his status on re-signing or going overseas? I haven't heard much about that since the beginning of free agency and thought Sather might be trying to woo him into retention as another aspect of the Cullen trade.
