Turek has a $5 million dollar contract next year and then a $5.75 million dollar option after that. Wouldn't you want Calgary to eat some of that first?

I want Calgary to eat all of it. There is absolutely no reason to pick up Turek. Unless DW wants to continue his horrible track record with goalies.

Never underestimate Waddells "cheapness". All he does is check the waiver wire, nothing else. He is cheap cheap cheap ..... HE STINKS.

In defense of Turek, he has played very well for the Flames since coming back from injury. Our team has just been in a scoring drought. Turek is a decent goalie though and would be a nice [ickup for you guys if the Flames ate say $2 million of his salary.

That makes absolutely no sense then. Why would Don "cheap" Waddell pick up a contract roughly twice the size of the largest already on the team?
