Penalty Shots

Has anybody else noticed that on penalty shots this year, virtually everybody is doing the same move? 95% of the players that have taken penalty shots have faked the shot and gone backhand shelf. You think goalies might start to notice this?

smart goalies come way out as soon as the shooter picks up the puck. that gives the shooter nothing to shoot at. brett hull had a penalty shot against olaf kolzig this season. kolzig took the shot away and forced him to deke. hull is a catch and shoot player and didnt get a shot off.

the only way for shooters to score is to approach with speed and go around the goalie or slip it 5 hole when he has to open up.

I think in the NHL, shooting is more effective than deking. Unless you can roof it point blank on a backhander.
