Buchigross and Melrose during intermission of the Stars v. Sharks game...

said they think that PL could and most likely will make as many as 4 trades before Tuesday's deadline.

Trade Granato for Quennville

and I'd be happy with just 2 trades, for Chris Pronger and a capable backup to Abby

Since I am connected to Barry's head I have to listen to all of his BS all season long. The other night in his sleep he was muttering the fact that the Avs didn't have enough players or draft picks to make four deals. He said they will make one for a backup goaltender and another for a power forward with mad faceoff capabilities. Barry did say in his sleep that he thinks the Avs need another threat from the point since Morris has turned out to be a bust. The guy is all over the board.

TSN I believe, but don't think there isn't a clause in his contract that allows him out if a coaching job comes calling.

you're probably right about quennvile. as for pronger's availability...i'm not sure what to believe. it dosn't seem likely the blues would want to trade him. but earlier in the season pronger supposedly said that if the blues didn't give him a long term deal, he would test free agency next year. he and/or his agent said he would accept a pay cut to stay in st. louis for multiple years. but that seemed to me like they were trying to get the blues to commit big bucks now....knowing that they might have to accept less after the lockout anyway. it seemed like a shady negotiating tactic. so i'm not sure what to believe.

If the Av's lose tonight, I would say there's a good chance of that.

Is it too late to get an experienced assistant coach?
