In all fairness, I don't think many Kings fans were all that thrilled about Cloutier.

That's probably true. Maybe they were just trying to tell themselves it was going to work out.

Hooray for BB bringing Trash Can Dan in the league so he could end up in LA. Let us hope he stays there for a few more years to hinder their development.

True that! Theres plenty of hot chicks in the LA area, the Kings need to hop on the wagon and hire some young women!

The Blue Jackets have girls too!

And to the person complaining that the Pond is boring???? You have to be kidding me. It has been great all season long. Very loud.

THEY'RE OUR TEAM DIMWIT! They won the Cup for the city of Anaheim not Los Angeles or anywhere else (not that I would mind it if the kings won, but I don't know if it will ever come and the Ducks happen to be the first to win it)

Trust me, kings fans ARE raiders fans. I've seen a bunch of raiders decal and stickers on their windows and bumpers. I've got to admit, kings fans might kill people one day if they never win the cup

Sure there is a small "growing" core of hardcore fans, but for a team that is "apparently" soo good, and so much better than the Kings, they don't have the loyal fan base to prove it. And don't throw the useless sellout figures at me bc I've seen your games. The only time the arena is full are Kings games and Red Wings games. During the playoffs you get the all the bandwagoners who just want to be part of the winning team. Sound familiar? I can remember the Angels having horrible attendence until they won the World Series. And now look, everybody in the OC and Anahiem is an Angels fan. Hell, the same thing happens with the Lakers. But for Duck fans to make fun of Kings fans is rediculous. At least when you go to Kings games you have fun. Sure their are rowdy people, but that is the charm of going to a game. If you're a Duck fan, and you don't like being yelled at by Kings fans..........DON'T GO TO THE GAMES. AND IF YOU DO, DON'T WEAR A DUCKS JERSEY. You're like those Muslims who act all weird in airports, and then complain when you are profiled. GUESS WHAT, YOU'RE MUSLIM, IN AN AIRPORT, I HATE TO SAY IT, BUT OF COURSE YOU'RE GOING TO BE PROFILED AFTER 9/11.

It's simple, if you want to go watch a Team with die hard fans hwo have put up with horrible management for 40 years, and who are all passionate about the game....Go to a Kings game.

If you want to take the family of 4 out for a nice evening of OC Hockey, listen to all the pg music, be surrounded by maybe 1 out of 10 people who actually know the game of hockey, and then leave the game by the 15 minute mark of the 3rd to put their kids to sleep because it's a school night.......Go to a Ducks game.

And I don't care if your team won the cup, big deal.

The bottom line is you have nothing on the Kings until you eliminate them in the playoffs.

And spliting the series with a bottom feeder like the Kings isn't realy spectacular.
"Oh, the Ducks played down to the Kings and Blue Jackets level"

See you Ducks in the playoffs

1 seed vs 8th seed.
LOL look who started the crap about the fans..

I've never been scared of the drunken Ex Raider fans at the stapler

And if you don't think winning the cup is a big deal you are a fan of the wrong sport.

The Ducks do infact have alot on the Kings...it's called winning that big shiny trophy that you know is the purpose of the playing the game.

You honestly think we give a rats ass about meaningless games vs a team that was a bottom feeder? i'd be fine with losing every game to the Kings if it meant more cups because THAT is what the game is all about.

I guarantee you if the shoe were on the other foot you would change your tune.

You go **** over your 'future' while I go watch my 2007 stanley cup champs dvd.

You're making yourself look like a Brick, Victor. The Ducks won the Cup first in SoCal and props should be given to them for accomplishing a feat that the kings may never accomplish.

I've been to my fair share of kings games at the staples since i live in LA. And the truth of the matter of fact is the Ducks fans know just as much as kings fans in LA. You insult their fan base and their lack of hockey knowledge, but those are just "STEREOTYPES" that kings fans come up with because they've never won a cup in 40+ years and the Ducks just happened to win it all and accomplish way more than what the kings have accomplished in 40+ years.

kings fans don't get into the game, they've often get drunk and rant about their players and how much their team sucks. Even I have gotten sick about hearing their banter and how much our team sucks. It's very disappointing. The only time kings fans ever get into is when they play the Ducks. I don't hear a volume difference between the two teams fans cheering for their team. But, kings fans definitely love chanting Ducks suck or Anaheim Sucks whenever the Ducks stop by the staples center. And that OLD Cartman southpark cartoon that they show every time the Ducks play is classless and it also shows that their organization is classless as well.
This is the only time that kings fans actually cheer on their team, aside from the drinking of course

This post is absolute perfection. Well put. In fact could someone just sticky this post somehow?

He summed up what I was trying to say earlier perfectly. This is exactly why I stopped being a Kings fan and turned to the Ducks. The Kings went from an OK franchise to classless garbage and the Ducks went from being the Disney joke of the NHL to the meanest ugliest team around.

I currently live in Fullerton. Grew up playing ice hockey in Pittsburgh. When I moved here I hated the ducks bc of the Disney bs and watched the Kings bc they were the closest real franchise to me. But the last 3-4 years have turned me.

Were you ever once a fan of the Penguins?

I was born in Houston then I moved to LA, but I always had a soft spot for the Stars

This thread proves the piont the rivalry is still there. The fans dont like each other and neither do the players. There are ducks fan who are dumb as a stump. Guess what the kings have some too. Im pretty sure the other 28 teams in the NHL pretty much fit into that statement. As a king fan it kills me the ducks won the cup first. All i can do is hang my hat on the future. For the ducks their future is now. I hope one day to see the ducks and kings in the playoffs against one another. That will be some great hockey. Anyone who watches those games between these two teams knows the players are up for these games. If you say otherwise you really are not watching. As for the kings team IF they had a goalie this team would be a very good team. Till then they will struggle. The kings lost probably 10 games at a minimum last year cause of tending. That is the gm and the coaches fault. Anahiem is the team to beat and hopefully soon the kings will be. Either way the rivalry is for real.

Yes, The Pens have always been my 2nd or 3rd fav team. I was in Pitt when Lemeiux and Jagr were winning the cup. Now Im in Anaheim when the Ducks are doing it!

I think the rivalry in this thread may be bigger than the real one between the teams.

To name a few more rivalries other than the Kings:

Anaheim/Calgary rivalry started ever since that brawl in 2002.
Anaheim/Detroit is always a great rivalry in the playoffs.
Anaheim/San Jose probably the most recent rivalry to date as both teams are cup contenders in the West.

Just to name a few.
