Sakic - Forsberg - Drury
Yzerman - Fedorov - Hull
Lehtinen - Peca - Madden (the Selke line)
Maltby - Draper - McCarty (the Grind line)

Reserves: Elias, Linden

Lidstrom - Chelios
Stevens - Neidermayer
MacInnis - Zubov

C. White, Leetch

(couldn't help it... had to stack my D)

Brodeur
Hasek (if he came back next year)

Legace (if you wanted a TRUE backup)

Coach: Bowman (I'll lure him out of retirement! )

Not a coincidence that the personel on my team is proportionate to the # of cups won over the last 7 years is it?

i.e. Detroit: 3 cups (10 players)
New Jersey: 2 cups (6 players)
Colorado: 1 cup (3 players)
Dallas: 1 cup (2 players)
Others: 0 cups (4 players)

Linden is by far the Canuck's best player come playoff time.
I agree! Look at Linden's stats and he almost always does better in the playoffs (that's why I put him on my team, but since he's no longer the player he once was I put him as one of my 'reserves')

Are you questioning Iginla's one playoff series?

I see Naslund and Bertuzzi making an awful lot of these lists.

WHY?

I'm not going to make a team, but I would include Slava Kozlov if I did. From 1995-1999 he was 3rd or 4th in the league in playoff goals, and there were no other Red Wings ahead of him. He also holds the Red Wings team record for most career playoff game winning goals.

Drury-Forsberg-Hejduk
Naslund-Sakic-Jagr
Zetterberg-Bonk-Madden
Arvedson-Francis-Tucker

Lidstrom-Foote
Blake-Pronger
Stevens-Hatcher

Brodeur
Giguere

Comments: My first line consists of Drury-Forsberg-Hejduk. Forsberg is a proven playoff performer and a premier playmaker. Drury has always been great in the playoffs, and Hejduk is the current "Rocket" Richard trophy owner.

Naslund-Sakic-Jagr is a pure scoring line that I'd hate to meet. Speed, great shots, and some defensive awareness (no, not in Jagr...).

My third and fourth lines consists of two-way forwards that can shut down the opposition. Zetterberg is a surprise, but has great experience from the Olympics and World Championships. Madden can play all forward positions, and Bonk is good enough to be on the top two. A scoring threat still, but menacing.

Fourth line brings some grit in Tucker, Arvedson has plenty of defensive upside, and Francis is there to provide the team with experience, puck-handling and faceoff skills.

D-men and goaltenders speak for themselves, I feel. Foote is an often overlooked player, in my opinion, and deserves to be on a team that would go on to win a Cup.

Brodeur is a given after Roy's retirement.

i also notice Gaborik's getting jipped on these lists. as a Vancouver fan i watched him almost single handedly elminate the Canucks.

What about Sergei Fedorov? Fedorov has more cups and I think also a better playoff PPG in quite a few more games.

You could say the same about Legace, who I don't think has played a playoff game, or has only played one/been in relief for the starter.
