Trevor Linden. 92 pts in 105 games, and i believe he is still the league leader in game 7 pts. a pure heart and soul player in the playoffs. he gets jipped and meanwhile Naslund and Bertuzzi make people's lists? they haven't proven anything. Linden is by far the Canuck's best player come playoff time.
I agree! Look at Linden's stats and he almost always does better in the playoffs (that's why I put him on my team, but since he's no longer the player he once was I put him as one of my 'reserves')
I'm not going to make a team, but I would include Slava Kozlov if I did. From 1995-1999 he was 3rd or 4th in the league in playoff goals, and there were no other Red Wings ahead of him. He also holds the Red Wings team record for most career playoff game winning goals.
Comments: My first line consists of Drury-Forsberg-Hejduk. Forsberg is a proven playoff performer and a premier playmaker. Drury has always been great in the playoffs, and Hejduk is the current "Rocket" Richard trophy owner.
Naslund-Sakic-Jagr is a pure scoring line that I'd hate to meet. Speed, great shots, and some defensive awareness (no, not in Jagr...).
My third and fourth lines consists of two-way forwards that can shut down the opposition. Zetterberg is a surprise, but has great experience from the Olympics and World Championships. Madden can play all forward positions, and Bonk is good enough to be on the top two. A scoring threat still, but menacing.
Fourth line brings some grit in Tucker, Arvedson has plenty of defensive upside, and Francis is there to provide the team with experience, puck-handling and faceoff skills.
D-men and goaltenders speak for themselves, I feel. Foote is an often overlooked player, in my opinion, and deserves to be on a team that would go on to win a Cup.
Well, I just Wanna saym That Joe Thorton Should be on someones list, he is a great playing and can play a tough mans game. And even hto He has not played his best in the Playoffs, He is due to break out. So here are my lines
Marian Hossa - Jeremy Roenick - Bill Guerin
Luc Robitaille - Joe Thorton - Steve Yzerman
