Carter to LA...Rucinsky's value rising?

Carter was just dealt to the Kings.

I see this as a good thing in that its one less scoring winger on the market.

Anyone think Rucinsky could get us a 1st rounder in this weak draft?

If we could get another highly ranked prospect and a 2nd rounder in next year's draft (or even this years), I'd again be pretty pleased.

He DOES has the potential to land a very nice return considering his season here, and Glen's been going a good job of getting the most out of these guys (on the trade market anyway, and also maybe except for Leetch who might've been able to land alittle more)

Boy we thought that Carter was distracted in New York (being in Page Six more than the Sports Page) he's gonna be well distracted in LA.

Maybe, but I also don't think they pay as much attention to the Kings in LA as they do in NY to the Rangers

In Newsday today, they said Aulin was offered to the Rangers twice. He was offered in a package for Brian Leetch, and also straight up for Martin Rucinsky.

I would have taken Aulin for Rucinsky, but apparently Slats balked, demanding a prospect and a pick in return for all of his players. Let's hope he can get more than Aulin, although I would have been very pleased with that return.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I am not a big fan of Aulin.

Why does the media always say balked? It makes it sound like Sather slammed the phone down at a ridiculous offer. Wouldn't the word decline be more accurate? Not a big deal... just a pet peeve.
