I've always wanted to come on this board to do more than just read, but it can be intimidating, especially because my posts on the np boards are either lost or laughed at (I think my low post count might have something to do with that).

The hardest part for me is that I don't get to read the boards all day and I usually fall behind, so if there is something that I want to comment on, by the time I get around to it there are three more pages and the subject has already been changed. By coming here, because there are fewer posters, I don't have to worry about that.

So I think you can expect me to post a little more over here, so beware of the stupid and sometimes uninformed questions (especially because I won't be able to see any games this year as I will be living in Florida...but too far away to see Vokoun).
You'll never be judged for post count, here. Look at me, I've got almost 25,000 posts and I still get no respect around here

If you can contribute...you'll fit right in. I think we've only had a few truly bad Nashville posters here...one of which I personally banned after a few of his tirades(some of you probably recall who). There's no "reputation" around here...we love pred303, handtrick, smokey, enoch, triggrman...guys who've been posting for years here and people listen up when they talk, even on the non-nashville forums...but people like SLake, crossxcheck, preddave...haven't been around as long as some of the rest of us but gained a lot of respect just for their insight. If you have something good to say...say it! There's no inside jokes, no messageboard glossary to learn...if you watch the games or read the news, you'll have no problem keeping up.

predsfan031806, post counts don't mean much. Posters are not judged for their comments, but more often they just get persuaded.

I couldn't keep up with the frantic pace on NP.com either, so this is where I have been hanging out for some time. For the most part, intelligent interaction and some education on the side...

I can also agree with what has been said. This is a much different and serious site for hockey fans. I have cruised the NP board and trying to keep up with the conversations can give you a headache. I have been reading these boards for about two years and I always enjoy the opinions and discussions. It seems to fall in line with my thinking about the team. The NP board is kind of like listening to the people that sit around me in Sec. 309.

I have enjoyed reading some of the posts of not only the Nashville fans but also some of the others in general and business sections. Irish Blues' posts are ones that are well written and informative.

just my .02 worth.

I'm excited to see more and more people posting in here. Helps liven up the place a bit and also brings in new viewpoints and perspectives on things.

Don't lurk, post!

I'm shocked I haven't been banned over there yet with my your momma jokes, he just edits my post for me when I cross the line. I think that's happened a time or two here as well.

I must remember to not take a drink prior to reading message board posts. It is very difficult to wipe down a computer keyboard.

I'm not scared of bunnies because I have the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch with me.

It's very simple, the NP boards are filled with fluff and the occasional pure hockey discussion whereas these boards are tend to have an inverse proportion of fluff to hockey talk. As one of the regulars over there, I'm just as guilty of contributing to the fluff as anyone else. We don't have to all agree on the value of every thread on these and the NP boards. If you happen to like one that I don't (or vice versa) it just means that we are capable of free thought.

I'll join the hamilton boards if I want borg-like singularity of thought.

I was a bit out of line with that reply. It doesn't change the fact that most of the new posts are usually fluff over there. "The Person Below Me", "Three Word Story", "The Next Meeting of the Puckbunnies", and "Word Association" are all among the top ten threads with new posts over there.

If mentioning one fluff thread in particular offends anyone, please just replace its title with another fluff thread whenever you read my post and drive on with life. It's only message board fluff anyway ... not life or death.

Only if you are being truly offensive with language can you be booted from NP.

Eh. Fluffing there is a way to pass the boredom. No offense taken. I just get cracked up watching others discuss "our thread." I had dinner with a fellow "bunny" tonight. There are real friendships there. Plus, we aren't invading other threads with "...here's my opinion, blah blah blah, hey man I'll have to buy you a beer... blah blah blah." We at least keep it in one place.

There's a new Mod over there, who deemed my can of wup ass offensive.

They lifted the suspension but I had to remove the avatar.

They're very concerned with highlighting "values" over there. I remember a couple of years ago, I made some left-leaning crack and it was deleted.
