Yes! Let's bring back Dagenais and put him, Allison and Latendresse on the same line.

He's still better than most our team which says more about our lineup than Allison I'm afraid.

I think that this thread has now crossed into The Rogue's Den territory

Seriously, Allison is not better than most of our team. Koivu, Kovalev, Ryder, Higgins, Latendresse, Kostitsyn, Plekanec are all better players than Allison, no contest. And the guy needs to play on the first 2 line so.....you fail.

And regarding Jason Allison's fan, I never understood how could one be a fan of such an uninteresting player.

You're dreaming in HD-DVD if you think Kostitsyn, Latendresse, and maybe even Kovalev are better than him.

You're saying that you would prefer Allison over those 3 players?? I sure don't. Latendresse brings a physical presence that Allison doesn't bring (beside being big...). Kostitsyn have so much talent, he just have to put it all together. And Kovalev, well, he's Kovalev. He's frustating, but when come PO times, I'd be glad to have him on my team instead of super fast Allison.

His career IS finished. This attempt at a comeback is ridiculous.

He never mentioned Allison at all, not sure why you are saying that.

Eklund said Montreal is looking at 3 or 4 centers, one being Horcoff, one possibly Jeff Halpern and two others he is investigating.

We're suddenly not looking at Marleau now?

I am offended by the sexual meaning of the thread title, have people no respect for a many year veteran of the NHL?

He was saying that Montreal was looking at some other options should the Marleau situation not transpire.

I posted last week that Allison wanted to play for teams "in reasonable driving distance" of Toronto, and I listed the teams as being Toronto, Ottawa, Detroit, Buffalo and Montreal.

This could simply mean that Allison's agent has contacted Gainey about the possiblity of playing here.

So far, he's only gotten a bite out of Buffalo for teams that are witihin driving distance.

Ottawa took a rain check, because they are believed to be saving cap space until they know what the situation with Forsberg is, Toronto passed, I'm not sure about Detroit, and Buffalo made an offer but it was believed to be quite low.

Ever saw Allison play ?

Skillwise, he'd instantly become one of our better players... IMO he's a better passer than Koivu, and with his size he can protect the puck so well, and his shot is heavy, it's just that he's a passer first and foremost... isn't afraid of traffic, can play physical... just a great on ice vision.

BUT, his skating is atrocious... even Dagenais was a better skater than him, Allison is slow, doesn't have great agility... the only thing he has on the skating department, is that he has great balance.

Defensively, of course it's holding him... can't catch other players in his zone, although he's got good reach...

Now would I want him on the team ? I absolutely want a fast and forechecking team... well he wouldn't fit the bill...

Before saying 'he sucks', somebody should try to understand why he does or not...

And we don't need contrived, smart-ass stabs at a team who knocked us out of the playoffs and finished ahead of us... and added a 40 goal scorer.

I don't enjoy Jason Allison. He makes me think I'm watching an Old Timers game.

How many oldies in the last decade have the Leafs brought back?...Lindros, O'neil, Allison, Clark, Gilmour etc. That is what I meant, now if you think we suck so much stop posting, it'll be a relief for most of us.
