How do Russians Learn to stickhandle?

Datsyuk, Kovalev, and many others have the sickest hands I've ever seen. How did they get these and can anyone post some drills?

It ain't just in their blood, that **** takes discipline and practice. If it were all genetics Zherdev would be pottin' at least forty goals a year.

In Russian and other European countrys they practice their skills first before they start getting into the body contact and such...

Well one thing in their genetics...or not I should say is the brains and intangibles cause with Russian hands you could pot 80 goals, but with their lack of effort, etc, they don't.

Lack of effort, have you ever seen Ovechkin who has great hands and is Russian, the kid always keeps trying and allways has effort, just cause some Russians don't try doesn't mean all of them lack effort.

Q: How do the Russians learn to stick handle?

A: They are taught by God himself

I gotta agree with the genetics comment. Genetics effect everything in what you are, including how quickly you learn and retain what you learn, and you're drive to become better, and hand to eye (or stick to eye) coordination now that I think of it. If the Russians keep pounding out great players, and they keep having kids, they're gonna start pounding out good players too.
