Has anyone noticed yet that Toni Rajala has made his debut in Ilves A-junior team in January.
He's also having a great tournament in Turku and he's the scoring leader of the tournament so far with 3 goals 3 assists in 2 games.

Jesse Turkulainen?

Let's put this here...
I was just wondering that why is Jesse Turkulainen on the Swedish TOP-10 list for the 2008 draft? ( http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/9701 ) A simple mistake perhaps... The other thing that bothers me is that he's TENTH on that preliminary list. I thought he was suppose to be something special...and Finnish. Of course there's always the possibility that Swedes have an awesome crop on their hands, but that's just not possible. Also I noticed that Jesse now plays for Södertälje so I guess we wont be seeing him in Finland anytime soon.

In other news... It's nice to see that the headcoach of U17 has (again) picked Teemu Pulkkinen to the team. It'll be interesting to see what Rajala, Pulkkinen and Haula can do next season.

I thought Turkulainen held both citizenships, but on eurohockey.net he is listed as a swede.

Can't one change once if you've only played for a u-18team?

I'm most excited about Rajala, but I've heard great things about a goaltender named Ortio. He's 1991. It would be dashing if we could get some footage of these people...

Lets keep us updated on...
  • Toni Rajala
  • Eric Haula
  • Teemu Pulkkinen
  • Jere Ringbom
  • ---- Ortio
  • Mikael Granlund
  • Markus Granlund
  • etc.

Just get out there and hype. Rajala is the best to hype because he's on the best pace and people already know the name... keep it going!!!

Get avatars out there (I can make them for you... Just tell me what you want it to look like, etc.). We need to bring Finland back on the hype map and back on the prospect train.

Looks like your list is missing Oskar Osala for the 87's.

I need any info on future finnish hockey superstars. Mainly just bio's like height, weight, shoots, etc. So far I think the next finish stars are Toni Rala,Erik Haula,Teemu Pulkkinen,Mikael Granlund,Markus Granlund, and Joonas Donskoi. Are there any other ones I have missed or are there any from this list who should be excluded? Any insight would be cool.

You could put Joonas Järvinen in the list. Born 1989 and is top-4 in TPS's d-man in this season. Big guy who hit a lot, is strong and has good shot also (Unfortunetly hi has not so good accuracy.)

At the 1991 goalies you should add Jon Ahlstedt. I have heard he is the best Stick handling goalie Finland has Ever Got.

Why bother to go through all the trouble of registration just to post a inside joke? Is it that funny?

Might as well put it here... I predict that Sakari Salminen (-88) will score 40 points next season in the SM-liiga. I have strong feeling about that... I just wanted to write that in somewhere so I can say "I told you!" a year from now.
He's my early prediction for next year's "Jori Lehterä-trophy"..the break-out player of the year.

It's possible as he has the skill to do it and will probably get enough ice-time next season in Ässät. On the other hand he's inexperienced and awfully skinny, so it's likely that his possible good form won't last for the whole season. Lehterä has been unusual newcomer in this sense as his good form has lasted throughout the whole season and perhaps even improved in the play-offs.
