Hey, you should be proud you were even able to get your hands on a Wii. I've been dying to try one out.

Team Games (You and your friend vs 2 other people, or 3 people vs 3 people, all on seperate consoles for 360, PS3 you can have up to 12 players)
Online Leagues (2-32 teams in the league, you can pick any team from NHL, AHL, SEL, FNL)
Excuse my slowness, but does this mean I can play a season with a friend (who is in a different location using his 360) cooperatively against the computer? That's the main online feature I'm looking for.

Can you set up a season in offline mode using 2 user teams, aka me playing someone in the same season but him with a different team and can customize to play him everytime (so we don't need to write our player stats down to compete).

hehe the thing is fun as hell, but I was salivating over the idea of online hockey...if EA has any sense they already realized what a force the Wii is and are already working on brining NHL08 to the console before its too late that people wont buy it.

but I need to send my Wii in to nintendo for repairs

Rogue PC gamer here - havn't had a console since Sega.

Anyone hear of a confirmation if NHL08 for PC is going to be nextgen?

Most sites covering NHL 08 for the PC simply have the XBox 360 screens. I'd imagine it looks on par if not better than that by the time it ships for PC. If you're asking about minimum sys requirements, haven't seen any.

From what I have seen of the NHL 08 platform I am very impressed. Might even need to bump up from my ps2 for this year's version

EA sports is back on top, in my opinion. I wish they would make MLB games again, because 2k also fails at making baseball games.

And is it just me, or does 2k release buggy games? I mean, really buggy games...
I was so upset when EA stop making MLB games. The college baseball just isn't the same.

Agreed, MVP Baseball was a fantastic (if short lived) series. I'm perfectly happy however with my MLB 07: The Show, which despite mediocre reviews plays terrifically in my opinion. That game wears my PS3 out.

This looks amazing!
With the addition of the AHL does this mean the Euro leagues are no more?

I noticed that too with PS2. I wasn't impressed at all..I pretty much got bored with it by mid-october.

I probably will buy it for PS2 just because of the AHL factor (which had better be in it), but I haven't heard a word about the PS2 version so I'm a little concerned.

From what I'm hearing, PC users are getting screwed.... they're just re-packaging NHL 07... which was NHL 06.

Maybe some of the new features are in it, like the leagues, or create a play, but the updated graphics and physics aren't.
