Selänne quits his national career.

So we wont be seeing Teemu in national team anymore, which is a shame. I want to thank Teemu for all he has done for team Finland in past years, i think we all can agree he's the best goalscorer ever to represent team Finland. Truely a sad day for finnish fans.

Here's the link http://www.sportti.com/uutinen.asp?CAT=2-3&ID=111726

Btw. does anyone else see something strage in this quote "Selännettä kiinnostaisivat kyllä Vancouverin olympiakisat 2010, mutta tuolloin hän olisi jo 43-vuotias ja niihin kisoihin aika vanha." Where they say Selänne would be 43 year old in 2010 Olympics

There is a mistake in sportti.com, that's what he really said:

(Ilta-Sanomat 17.8.2007)

It's just basically "Only real goal in National team would be next Olympics in Vancouver, but they are still 3 years away. I'm already 37years old so I would be already quite old to those games. I think there is just room for one 'Raipe' Helminen(who is 43y old and still playing in SM-Liiga) in Finland."
