2 years ago, when Ryan Maloe was at training camp in Pittsburgh, he accidentally sent a slap shot directly at Mario Lemieux.

While coming back to the bench, he kept saying to Brooks Orpik, iirc, "oh crap, I'm gonna get cut from the team, I just know it..."

Edit: Please correct me if I'm wrong about Malone or Orpik.

Brisebois was Gainey's assistant GM in Hamilton this past year, so he was likely learning the ropes and now he'll be running the show.

I am hoping that they give Jon Gleed another ahl contract cant' hurt to bring him back and Cincinnati fans will be glad to see him back.

That's called working your way up the ladder.
Thats insane... he gave up a opportunity to become an associate in one of the biggest firms in mtl or canada. He would of hit the diggits if you know what im sayin!

This shows you his true passion for hockey.
Props to you maitre.

i am really surprised that this fan group hasn't more knowledge of what Brisebrois' contribution has been.

He's been the legal eagle looking over t's and c's of new contracts, and has been the so call "capologist" of the team since the new CBA created that position.

Of course given the seasonal nature of signing (or not signing) contracts he's got to be the Maytag repairman of hockey. (young readers will question what a Maytag repairman reference has to do with hockey management , oh well )

The bulldog GM position was held by Gainey and previously by Andre Savard, there really isn't much to do but do a few assignments per year, inking some contracts and managing some end of contract releases.

The CHC Enterprise Bridge is in Montreal, with Captain Gainey at the controls.
Brisebois manages some details for BG.
