Time for a new tradition?

Reading the Panther rat link here- http://http://hfboards.com/showthrea...9#post10277339

made me think that after this summer of discontent/ near loss/redemption/ change etc.... that the Preds could use a new tradition (or, the Preds fans).

Anyone agree?

Thoughts?

One 'tradition' that needs to go is the Fang Fingers by far. And the stupid catfish making fun of Detroit.

But yes, we could use something new.

I agree about fang fingers; however, the kids love it, so it probably isn't going anywere. The catfish thing is kind of funny to me, but it does support the whole redneck argument that a lot of others cities fans try to put nashville in.

I agree....I hate fang fingers.....I hate "Your Nashville Predators are ON THE POWER PLAY."

On the other hand....I love the catfish.....that is our own tradition.
Just because Detroit throws something on the ice, doesn't mean that we can't throw something that is unique to us.

I would like to see the players acknowledge the fans at the end of the game in some manner, similar to what NYR do, but unique to us......

Line dancing at center ice, waving to the fans in the process?

The players could skate really, really fast counter-clockwise around the ice after the game making pit-stops at center ice for Gator-Aide and a quick skate sharpening. Someone could stand in the time-keeper's box and wave different colored flags signifying how fast players may skate or how many laps around the rink remain.

New Hampshire (UNH) does the fish thing on their first goal of the night (symbolic of the goalie having to "fish" the puck out of the net). They've been doing that for years.

I noticed when I attended Game Two against San Jose that the "Fang Fingers" weren't used at all. Is it possible they might have dropped it?

That is one of the lamest things I've ever seen a team do to get the fans going. It is so hopelessly contrived...

That was because the Predators never went on the Power Play in that series

To tie a couple of threads together... why don't we as fans randomly spear someone nearby in the nutsack whenever the Preds are about to go on the PP.
