OT: Ticketmaster.com Question

When I bought tickets last season, I always opted for the Ticketfast Delivery option where they email you your tickets... Guess I was just always unreasonably paranoid that my tickets wouldn't get mailed out to me in a timely manner... Plus at the time, I had just moved and hadn't linked my credit card to my new address yet...

Anyhow, how quickly does Ticketmaster mail out your tickets to you?

Say I land tickets to Leetch night, when could I expect to receive them in the mail?

What options do you have if you don't receive your tickets but Ticketmaster says they mailed them out?

I know my paranoia is a little irrational but I just don't trust snail mail...

If you are waiting for tickets in the regular mail and haven't recieved them prior to about a week before the actual event takes place, you can call ticketmaster and they can make it so you can pick up the actual tickets at will-call/box office/etc. I believe they also make it so the other tickets won't show up as actual when scanned for entrance, so that you can't attempt to rip them off.

Why is that?

With no pre-sale to season ticket holders, how is it that every ticket in MSG is spoke for already?

Because I'm guessing they'll do like they did for Messier night last year, and not release any. Whatever extra tickets they have for that game will be distributed by the organization.

Not a single Ranger fan got tickets to Messier night on Ticketmaster?

I was reading on the main Rangers website BB and people on there said they scored tickets to Richter's retirement ceremony on Ticketmaster... Can't see why it would be any diff. for Leetch's night.

The hype for Richter night was far different than preceding Messier's. I did score tickets for Richter night on Ticketmaster. I don't recalling any such stories for Mess night.

Interest in Leetch night should fall directly between Richter and Messier respectively.

I've ordered tons of tickets through ticketmaster, while they say you will get them no later than 2 days before the event they always come much sooner, usually no later than 2 weeks after the purchase.

for Messier night ZERO tickets were released to TM.

I expect it to be the same for Leetch night.

Yeah, if you really want them better grab them from Stubhub before the prices go crazy...although it looks like they are already up 15% from yesterday as the cheapest are now $400 each.

I always have plenty of beer Stella Artois, Becks, Sierra Nevada!

I don't have the TV yet but in late Oct. / early November I'm buying a 50" Pioneer plasma for some HD hockey viewing pleasure!

plasma is great for the bedroom...for the same price you could get 5 times the viewing area with a projector! 50" is really just a large TV. To really experience hockey watch it on a 110" screen. maybe we should have the party at my place...you can bring the beer.

I work for a company that manufactures projectors (and other audio/video products)...

I don't have the set up for one and don't want to foot the cost of replacement lamps... I need a plasma for everyday viewing and for logging lots of viewing hours....

TV will be set up in the living room....

my PJ is set up in my living room...projects onto the wall for aesthetics (no screen) and looks sick. bulbs last several years so that's really not a big expense...i tell people to just add $300 to the initial purchase price (to factor in the cost of a replacement bulb) and that will hold you over for at least 4 years. i have mine on 4 or 5 hours a day. you couldn't pay me to swap it out for even a 65" plasma...to me there's no comparison...but to each his own. i actually just bought my parents a 50" plasma...looks great, but way too small to give you the immersive experience you get with FP.

Plasmas don't have anything on the flat screen projection TVs. The video quality is, and likely always will be, sub par in comparison.

I don't think anyone here was talking about flat screen projection TVs. We were discussing plasma and front projection.

I don't think tickets to Leetch night will go onsale to the general public. IMO.
