Exhibition Game in London

Just wondering if anyone was going to the game vs. Ottawa and the John Labatt Centre in London on the 18th? My school (Fanshawe College) is selling tickets at a special price for students... I picked up a pair yesterday in Section 107 Row F.. Not too shabby considering the game will probably sell out and there arent any good seats left at the box office..

ah, London England.. I was talking about London Ontario but thats good to hear that there are some hockey fans over there, I met some Brits on vacation in the Dominican and I was curious to hear if they knew anything about hockey and sure enough they had never heard of Wayne Gretzky .. kinda odd considering we know at least something about most famous british athletes over here

The most famous NBA or MLB player could walk past me in the street and I wouldnt know who he was. I couldnt name a single player from either league because it has zero interest to me.

Them same would be true for say our best cricket or rugby players, most Canadians couldnt name any of them.

true, just not popular over here.. rugby has a small following but the players are mostly europeans and aussies anway

I got Section 105 row S - centre ice, lower section, probably the last row.

There are no bad seats, it's a great arena for hockey. 9,000 is perfect.

I would think it will be worked on between the teams. There is usually some minimum number of 'roster' players required. You wouldn't want to send five regulars and a bunch of kids up against a full squad - that wouldn't be nice.

To be fair, if Kevin Pietersen or Andrew Flintoff walked past you in the street, would you know who he was?

Id say no to all 4 of them. Id only recognise Flintoff by that dot on his head if he had his hair short.

It would be exactly the same here, Crosby or the most famous NBA, NFL, or MLB (Id name them but I couldnt even name one player from each league, never mind the most famous) could walk down the street and no one would recognise them.....unless I was there and Id kick Crosby square in the nuts.
