What about the players that aren't listed yet? When are they gonna be activated, and who gets the priority to pick them? Brassard, Esposito, and others...?

Yahoo randomly decides...Usually it's after the first preseason game. As for who gets to pick, it goes on waiver order...Right now it's reverse draft order.

I am looking for goaltending help. If you have an elite goaltender, anyone from my roster is availible.

On an aside, I really like my roster, aside from the lack of star goalies. I wish this was a keeper pool because the roster I have, in 3 years, will be unstoppable.

You snaked so many of my picks...you and Xavier picked every guy I had on the radar as my next pick, almost every time.

Yeah goaltender are really important in a pool, and in a way it show us that true #1 goaltender are very rare, at the end of the 2nd round the 14 best goaltender were gone...

My goalies are good, not great...But the more I think about it the happier I am with them. They are kinda risky, but my entire team is pretty risky because it's all young guys.

Goaltending is my WEAKEST position...im gonna have to seriously look at making a trade for someone decent really soon!

I think that is one of the reasons I will be okay...My goalies aren't great, but there are quite a few people on the pool who don't have a starter...Some don't even have an NHL backup! If Chicago is a bit better this year (they will be if they can stay healthy), and LaBarbera starts in LA (who will also be good), I should be fine.

At the 22nd round when i picked my player i thought about getting an extra goaltender and i found out pascal leclaire was still not picked. I just can't believe i was able to pick him with the last pick of the pool (round 23).

I mean he's no superman but he has alot more chance to be a #1 than guys like theodore or aebisher and half the goaltender picked in the late round...

I just can't believe someone picked Jaroslav Halak in the 7nd round... their where tons of great player left (kaberle, koivu, pitkanen) and IMO Halak has 0,000001% chance to be a #1, i mean either we go with Huet or we go with Price but Halak he is #2 in evry possible scenario unless price and huet get injured.

that was me...I wasnt actually available for the draft last night so the system autmatically picked Halak for me

I can't believe I got Paul Martin in the last round. He's likely going to be a top pairing guy in NJ...I didn't even need a d-man but I took him because nobody was left.

Yup, he was really high on my watch list at that time too, with rafalski gone, paul martin will have a great year...

I've got goalies available. I took Miller, Ward, Toskala, and Raycroft.

I disagree to an extent, I won a head-to-head yahoo pool 2 years ago with Budaj as my #1 (The year Theodore got traded to Col), who I picked up off waivers sometime in the middle of the season. I'm not saying it doesn't help at all, but if your players are good enough, it's still possible to compete.

And my apologies dave. I guess we both prefer the young talents.

btw, is it good to have lots of PIM or less PIM?

sorry for the question but this is my first head-to-head league and in the rotisserie leagues I played it was : more PIM = more points
