Stratka

Hey there, a little help please (it's hockey pool time after all)

With Gomez and Drury now on board, whats the status of Stratka.......will he still play with Jagr ?

Gomez/Drury/Jagr/Shanny/Prucha/Avery/Callahan/Startka/Hossa......thats quite a list of forwards.

Am I right in thinking that Stratka's #'s will take a pretty steep fall this year. Will he see ANY PP time ??

good chance Straka will play on the line with Jagr still, with Gomez or Drury centering that line.

I think he's gonna put up good numbers again.

Its him, or Hossa or Prucha...

Hossa will get a shot, I think its his spot to loose; though at the same time it seems like 50/50 that he will loose it, to me atleast.

Straka will always get some shifts with Jagr when JJ's line gets into trouble. Like against Buffalo in the PO's...

I also think Straka is a given with JJ on the point on the PP.

.

I don't see any reason Straka would not be playing on the same line as Jagr.

I also fail to see any reason or justification in putting Hossa there other than pointing to a small sampling where Hossa didn't look out of place on a line in which he wasn't asked to do much. I want a player on my top line this year that has a long and more importantly, a recent history of being able to score points. Straka is the guy for that LW spot, hands down.

Straka - Gomez - Jagr
Prucha - Drury - Shanny
Avery - Dubinsky/Anisimov - Callahan
Hossa - Betts - Orr/Hollweg

Straka is 100% starting the top line on LW barring injury. Chemistry and a proven history point to that. Renney has shown in the past he isnt 100% trusting of Prucha and Hossa wont do it, and Dawes as a rookie wont be there either.

Straka will definitely get ample opportunity to put up offensive stats on a top scoring like and power play. The only question is his health.

thats always Strakas question!!! after all the guy isnt exactly built like Bertuzzi!!!

if he stays fit and is on Jagr's line he'll put up something like 30+40 again.

Thank God, as Bertuzzi is the most injury prone forward in the game right now.

True but he wouldn't be able to shoot down the ice like a bullet either.

Just make sure you put Straka in your pool and not Stratka.

I still see him as the top line LW.

With Straka's health coming into question, I think he'll be bounced around the lineup. If he's not 100% coming out of camp, he'll center the 3rd line. If he's fine, then top line LW for sure.. just being cautious.

He SHOULD play on the top-line with Jagr. He will probably wind up centering the 3rd line, as Renney will ram in Hossa to play with Jagr.
