Stick under $100?

I'm thinking of getting a new stick because my easton octane is a pos. I'm looking for something around $80 but im willing to spend up to $100. I'm an intermediate player so I'd prefer an 80-flex.

How are the Hespeler and Vic sticks? I've seen them selling for really cheap

Thanks in advance

Look for a Whip flex Xn10 or another close-out OPS that used to be top end.

TPS Adrenaline is a great stick. Most online places have it at $80 to $100. Get the whip flex.

Other top of the line sticks on closeout:
TPS Response Armor
Mission Pulse
Mission Hex-1
Bauer Vapor XX

All of these sticks are under $100 at most places. You can go wrong with any of them at that price.

The Bauer V2 is highly recommended by epuck.com.

If you can still find one a Bauer Vapor XXX is an excellent stick, the Vapor XX being a notch below that.

I've heard very good things about the Sher-wood RM9. It's a nice feeling stick, very well balanced.

I myself would probably go with the Sher-wood. Mainly because of it's feel and it's something they still make. That's the problem with closeouts. Sooner or later you won't be able to find them anymore.

The TPS Adrenaline control is on sale right now for $60 at ePuck.com. Awesome deal for what used to be like a $189 stick. I'm tempted to get one right now, but do I need more sticks?

And the V2 mentioned above....sucks, all I gotta say. I heard good stuff about it and the from the ePuck reviews too, but I was disappointed. But I'm glad I only paid $40 for it.

Never listen to the BS reviews on ePuck. Everything they have is amazing according to them.

I second the opinion of the guy above, the V2, as well as any other price point OPS, SUCKS. They're heavy and made mostly of fiberglass and have no feel. Personally, I'd rather use a woody than a bargain OPS.

I ordered one of the $60 adrenilines yesterday. There website glitched on me though and I placed 2 orders! cant wait for my Perry whip flex. I have been using a Tucker blade in a regular shaft and from my nderstanding tucker and perry are the same.

your going to end up with another POS if you dont do your homework. With the sticks you listed and at those prices you should REALLY consider the TPS Adrenaline from Epuck while its on sale.

I'll tell you this much. I much prefer my Vapor XXX lite shaft and Warrior Dolo 2 blade to any OPS I have used so far. As much as I like my Warrior Starskie's, this combo smokes em performance wise. It also give me the flexibility to use any pattern I want.

You may find a decent tapered shaft/blade combo a better option both performance and price.

120 is...well, ok, but everything else I'd forget about. We already mentioned the V2 in the thread the other two are SportMart specials I do believe so they are price point and not worth it.

Actually with the heft and weight I find the pricepoints to have decent feel actually and are kinda durable with the weight and materials in it...but shooting and performance overall on the other hand sucks!!!

But honestly, you say your Octane is a POS, the sticks you are looking at arn't gonna be much better.

Not a bad idea...or even use whatever money you have and get a top end standard shaft since those are cheaper than tapereds, plus standard blades are much easier to find.

not a horrible choice but better choices could have been made.

Better than the Octane you say you have =X But if you had $100, I woulda spent a tad closer to the budget there. Vector 6.0 is ok, a bit heavy...I'd lump it with the V2 mentioned before.

Why even ask for our opinion if you were gonna get another pos anyway.

on a side note, I get pretty good power with 80-flexes, I'm 170lbs, should I expect more or less power with an 87 flex?

i'd have taken my 100 bucks and put it into 2 z-carbons...greatest wood stick ever made.

there is little to no point in buying a point-price composite. they suck. thats all there is to it
