Saw the socks last night...let's just say that plain is the theme of the design. Look a lot like the socks that the US wore during the last Olympics. Blue and White only for colors. Horizontial design...very plain.
Here are some pictures from NP.com of the socks on the players. The jerseys they are wearing are last season's practice jerseys...they will have streamlined jerseys for practice this season.

On topic-- are there two different types of socks? some looked solid blue the others had the horrific white on the front (or side?). I have a pretty open mind on the new uniforms but 'm starting to think these uniforms will be used on Battlestar Gallactica at some point in the near future. On the bright side, KC and Hamilton may not want a team in this league.

No, Hordichuk was traded to the Predators prior to Gelinas signing with Florida.

Yes, there are home (navy front) and away (white front) socks. The back of the sock is the contrasting color.

That is a new mask and new pads. Last season it was written in an article about the relationship between Vokoun and Mason that Tomas was planning on designing a custom paint job more like Mason's (incorporating family elements) and that Chris was actually working on a design more like Vokoun's (team logo) while still maintaining his family elements in the helmet.
I think what we are seeing in that picture is Mason's final design...although it look's like we'll have to wait until September 13th to see the mask up close.
I like the navy ones better, but since I already have one, I'll pick up a new white one for sure.
I still like the whites better (my opinion of course ) in person. The blues look better in person then the first pictures of them, but I still can't get over the hoodie like feel of the uniform.
I'll be picking up a white uniform for myself soon. For some reason I really like that uniform.
I think the whites look GREAT on the players. Hopefully the same will be said for the navy because they really don't look half bad in those pictures you posted Stranger.
That vertical yellow stripe makes them look like football jerseys with a hockey crest on the front. Not too good looking, IMO. But hopefully you Pred fans were grow to like them.
