That's quite optimistic in my opinion. I say it all depends on chemistry and Lundqvist / our D having a consistent year. In my opinion Ottawa will finish first in the EC and we will battle Pittsburgh for the division

ain't that the kiss of death. I think I liked it better when the expectations were a lot lower, especially ESPN's expectations. Looks like Lundqvist will be ordinary and many will be right about the defense while wear and tear and injuries take their toll on some vets.

Ottawa and Pittsburgh will be up there, not to mention a possible surprise team.

I can see Ottawa winning the East simply because the Atantic is going to be a very tough division to win and with Pittsburgh, Philly and New York beating on each other (not to mention the ever difficult-to-play-against Devils) one team might come up short in the point production area to claim the conference.

If the Rangers actually do win the division AND the conference, we are looking at something seriously special this year because to do that they would have to dominate against the good teams and bad consistently.
