I think there are two big questions that need answering vis a vis Lundmark:

1) Is he part of the solution? Is he is the long term plans of this club or is he trade fodder?

2) Is he a center or a wing? If he is a center, play him with Jagr and let's see what he can really do? If he is a wing, play him with Holik and lets see what he can really do.

I don't know, the guy is still young. Other teams play their young guys in 3rd or 4th line roles for years before they become more prominent. We expect them to be stars way too soon and even though he has had 2 seasons, he's been jerked around so much with so little direction that I think he has had whatever chance of progress he may have had severely retarded. And so if we kept him for 3 more years, I'd be fine as long as he was being coached and brought along at a steady pace.

I agree.
You really can't rush these guys along.
Ortmeyer-Lundmark-Barnaby as your third line next year.
He's definitely part of the solution.
You can't have Jamie on the 1st line with Jagr, it just wouldn't work.
Knowing Sather, free agency, and spending Dolan's money, the 1st line will be:

Martin Rucinsky-Scott Gomez-Jaromir Jagr

Gomez loves playing at the Garden, if you can't tell by now. I would welcome him with open arms. I think he would be great-and he's not old.

You'd need to give up several 1st round picks for Gomez depending on the new CBA.
