Washington sends most of its B team up to Philadelphia tonight to take on the Flyers. The Flyers look as though they'll be icing half of their healthy top level talent tonight, including two of their big name offseason additions in Daniel Briere and Kimmo Timonen (who'll rake in a cool $18M this season between the two of them). Wingers Joffrey Lupul and Scottie Upshall won't be in the lineup, after both suffered broken wrists last night. They will will miss two weeks and up to two months, respectively. Wingers Mike Knuble and Scott Hartnell will also not be in the lineup.

With the Caps dressing the likes of Donald Brashear, Matt Bradley, Brian Sutherby, John Erskine and Ben Clymer and the Flyers dressing Jesse Boulerice, Riley Cote, Boyd Kane and Ben Eager, you can bet there will be some fisticuffs tonight. Hopefully, no one gets injured thanks to a torn jersey during a throwdown...

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Washington:

Klepis - Backstrom - Fleischmann
Laich - Gordon - Motzko
Brashear - Steckel - Clymer
Bradley - Sutherby - Bourque

Morrisonn - Jurcina
Erskine - Eminger
Boumedienne - Pollock

Johnson

Philadelphia:

(Just a guess based on their general lineup...)

Gagne - Briere - Ruzicka
Kane - Carter - Powe
Tolpeko - Potulny - Eager
Cote - Dowd - Boulerice

K.Timonen - Coburn
Smith - Kukkonen
Picard - Guenin

Biron

Nice.

Could be a rough game. Glad it will be on the internets.

I would love to see a fight between Bourque and Briere.

The clash of the mini-titans.

I think Bourque wins. He's a tough little bugger and doesn't like the cheapshots.

Ironically enough, Philadelphia lost four players (Lupul, Upshall, Jones and Umberger) to Ottawa's one.

Looks like they want to get another look at Bourque and Steckel and maybe see how they look on the second game of a back-to-back.

Where's the audio link on the Caps site? It's usually on the front.

I started up the link for the Caps report in the multimedia area and have been getting some arena noises and some background voices. Try that.

You have to register, but it is free for the pre-season.

Looks like the Caps' audio and the video feed are at their usual lack of cohesion.
