Devils odds should be lengthened. We don't know if Stevens is going to back, and now Rafalski is out as well. How can you give a team that's missing its entire top pairing 12:1 odds to win the cup? I wouldn't touch NJD unless they hit 20:1

It wasn't known that Rafalski was out until a few hours ago, but overall I agree with you.

Lou keeps saying that Stevens will be back, but that seems like wishful thinking at this point. He still hasn't started skating yet.

The Devils needed to pick up a defenseman at the trade deadline, I was stunned that they didn't pick up a verteran blueliner.

$5 on SJ at 20:1 back in January.

The Avs odds are way too high, who would put money on 4-1?
I'd put money on the Flames at 40-1 way ahead of the Avs.

The Blues are the money-maker there. They have enough talent to win a Cup. Will they do it? Probably not, but they seem to be the best of the longshots.

And where are the Oilers? No odds for them? They are only 5 points back of a playoff spot (not that I'd ever bet on them to win). Just curious...

Montreal is an excellent dark horse bet at 25 to 1. This will change when they beat the Avs tonight (Okay... IF )

Dallas at 12:1 is a good bet. I would also put a couple dollars on St Louis just in case.

Interesting the Leafs have better odds than the Flyers. I don't agree with that at all. Stars at 12:1 and Habs at 25:1 seem like pretty cute bets. But if I was to lie money down on one team it would be the Flyers

Remember, betting odds are done to encourage betting, and most likely do not reflect what the oddsmaker would think are the real chances. Although they are usually close to that. If they were too far off it would be obviously a great bet to make.
But it could just be that Leafs have a lot more fans that place bets then Flyers fan. That would lower the odds they give.
Or it could be that the odds maker just does believe the leafs are a better bet at this point.

Hmmm.

At least the Avs are getting respect, maybe a little too much.

After the initial bets are placed they "balance them off" changing odds to do so. If you added up the odds as percentages it would be well over 100%. Which "usually" means they make money.
