converting skate boot

I was fortunate enough to have a relative buy me the CCM Vector ice skates for $430. Problem is, I"m looking to play roller not ice!

Can I get the blade taken off and have a roller chasis put on there? Is that safe?

Yeah take it to the shop. They can remove it and drill new holes to attach your chassis.

These guys can... they actually converted an old pair of inline Tacks into ice skates for me because I had them broke-in so well... But they can do anything you want to your skates. Talk to Bob...

Yeah most places that are hockey specialty stores can do it I used to it every season between ice and roller hockey. It is apparently okay to switch over once but its raelly hard on the sole if you do it keep switching back and forth. But just switching once should be fine.

Are your feet fully grown? If I was you I would hang on to them as ice skates and put the switching money towards inline.

If your feet are still growing though, no point in hanging on to them for ice.

LOL I'm almost 26, I'm done growing. You think that just buying inlines would be cheaper than doing the switch? I wouldn't think so, at least not for good inlines.

No. I think that having good ice skates also would be important to me. I would put the switching money toward inline and keep the ice skates, but I'm not you, nor do I know your budget or inclination to ever ice skate.

Is that difficult to understand?
