I didn't see much in the Philly paper about a potential line-up; some of the recent Flyers' cuts: "The Flyers reduced their roster to 32 players, assigning 18 to the Phantoms. Among those assigned to the AHL affiliate were defensive prospects Ryan Parent, Triston Grant, Martin Grenier, Lars Jonsson and Jussi Timonen."
We're probably sitting some of the better players tonight, So sit the studs on the GDT imo.
an interesting update:
"... will not include Steve Eminger, John Erskine, Matt Bradley, Brian Sutherby, Ben Clymer, and Jakub Klepis because they are practicing right now. Brent Johnson is out there too, so expect to see Olie Kolzig in net."
If you want to go, call your ticket rep and free tickets are available....just an FYI.
George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
I guess they're doing a full dress rehearsal. But is it really going to be Poti - Green when the season starts?
Poti reportedly played well with Marc-Andre Bergeron last season when he came over from the Oilers. Poti isn't as bad defensively as some want to make him. That being said...I'd still rather see Green with an even more defensive guy than Poti. Erskine, Morrisonn, and Jurcina.
But eh...I'll take it. Getting Green in the line up works for me.
