It's that time again - ECF Predictions

Despite the weather in the DC area, fall is here, and hockey season is coming with it. I love being able to look back at predictions at the middle/end of the year, but we have to make predictions first in order to do that.

Think it's too soon? That's fine, wait a few days or a week before making your picks.

Mine:

Ottawa
Pittsburgh
Carolina
Buffalo
New Jersey
NY Rangers
Toronto
Washington
---------
Tampa
Atlanta
Florida
Philly
Montreal
Boston
NY Islanders

Eastern Conference Champions: Pittsburgh Penguins

EDIT: Hmm, I probably should have put "Eastern Conference Predictions" rather than "ECF Predictions." Oh well.

Ottawa
Pittsburgh
Florida
NY Rangers
Buffalo
Philadelphia
New Jersey
Carolina
---------
Washington
Toronto
Tampa Bay
Atlanta
Boston
Montreal
NY Islanders

With Ottawa in the finals again.

The Caps could really benefit from a deadline deal if they're in the thick of the race by the end of February, though.

I agree that the Caps could really improve at the deadline, but as things currently stand I have them out of the playoffs. Improved, but not enough.

The southeast is gonna be really close, i don't think anybody in the SE can get more points then us. All the other teams have bigger problems then us.

I do think the Caps can win the division though. The SE is really up for grabs, all the teams are pretty even.

I am amazed by your response, no goaltending, what the hell are you smoking, the caps have a goalie by the name of Olaf Kolzig, ever heard of him?

Yea, to say the Caps have "no goaltending" is kinda foolish.

Kolzig is still a very solid starting goaltender in the NHL, he's not as good as he was a few years back. But he will still get the job done, and do it well.

The last thing the Caps should be worried about right now is their goaltending. As that is the only thing the Caps can pretty much count on being consistant day in and day out.
