No defense. This is terrible, so much for an improved team. What is up with Jussi Timonen? why is Rathje getting time over him (not that I'm blaming this game on him, he just sucks to begin with). I thought he looked good at times last year. Are our best players really Dowd and Powe, (whatever his name is) really our best players? Sorry guys but I had to rant, things are not looking good so far. Hopefully, they were told to avoid injury throughout the preseason. Then again they didn't do a good job with that either. Lets hope the regular season looks completely different.
With that last goal, I have officially lost all faith in Nitty....I've seen high school kids with more composure in net and better rebound control.....someone tell him that he's supposed to stop the black rubber thing.
Dumb Penalties, Poor Defence, Crappy Goaltending....Seems alot like last year.
Oh and the Briere line had 4 of the 5 goals..
In all honesty, as far as I'm concerned, this preseason was all about that line clicking. Their chemistry seems to be developing nicely and that was my number one concern/priority at the start of preseason.

not starting out on yet another injury-riddled campaign was mine.
This is the crappiest hockey broadcast I have ever seen, between the blaring music and the replays while the play is still ongoing... Is this how they watch hockey in Washington? Cripes.
FYI, I didn't watch the game tonight, but the last game that was played in Washington, Caps vs Canes, NHL.tv used the broadcast straight from the jumbotron, which is why there were random replays in the middle of the play, which, needless to say, became very annoying.
So assuming it was the same thing tonight, to answer your question, no, that's not how we watch hockey in Washington..
