Straka - Drury - Jagr
Avery - Gomez - Shanahan
Prucha - Dubinsky - Callahan
Hossa - Betts - Hollweg/Orr

Malik - Roszival
Tyutin - Girardi
Mara - Staal

Ex. Strudwick, Pock, Hollweg/Orr

???

Switch Avery and Prucha? Gomez and Drury?

Unless Hossa is put on the first line or Prucha and Straka flip i can't see it being much different than that.

What do you guys think?

I think your lineup makes sense. im upset not see'ing Hollweg in opening night ,but I cant do anything about that.

I would love to see these lines, slightly different from yours.

Straka-Drury-Jagr
Prucha-Gomez-Shanny
Avery-Dubinsky-Callahan
Hollweg-Betts-Orr

Most likely to see Prucha switch with Avery often. I would also say for Prucha to be productive, he needs to be witha guy like Gomez who ciould feed him the puck.

That's what I want to see. Normally I wouldn't want Prucha on the third line, but I think he will shine with Dubinsky and Callahan. That should be a very good goal scoring third line right there, exactly what we needed last year.

I don't know about Drury starting with Jagr though. Guess we'll have to see

I think this is more of how Gomez played with Shanny than how Drury played with Jagr....im sure during the game they will switch at somepoint...imagine having 2 centers who could both play great with Jagr- would really mess up other teams

don't hold your breath for anything fancy. most likely it will be the card stock season schedule. they haven't given us a t-shirt or hat in 4 years.

Florida has no one to scrap at all. the need for Orr isn't there and Hollweg will play just a guess but no need for him opening night

i am so stoked that Drury is on the team.

last year watching him burn us, with his skills and dedication i really wanted him on the team however i would have guessed about a 10% chance it'd happen since he was a C and a stand-up player.

Woohoo!

for me i'd love these lines:

Straka/Hossa - Drury - Jagr
Prucha/Avery - Gomez - Shanny
Avery/Prucha - Dubinsky - Callahan
Hollweg/Hossa - Betts - Orr

at the Isles game I went to on Friday I saw Gomez's great chemistry with Shanny and Prucha would be good at banging in goals on that line. I also would think that Avery and Prucha could switch on the fly during games and i would feel as happy with either combo, because Prucha-Dubi-Cally line sounds very fiesty and great too. maybe sometimes Cally could swoop up to play with Shanny a couple times, or Shanny could slide down sometimes.. i dont know, i like flexibility.

i just want Renney also to utilize Hossa's flexibility and start him on the 4th line and not try to force the issue w/ Jagr.

I guess Montador would be the closet thing, but i agree i think youll see a Hossa - Betts- Hollweg 4th line.

Well if you read hockeybasedNYC's post you will see he has Hossa penciled in the 4th line and Hollweg being a sctratch, which seems is to be the likely option.

And Im not stating this as a fact but a mere opinion, but an opinion I feel will be more a fact then anything.

Can you tell mebetween Hossa and hollweg who do you think will be scratched. Cause none of the follwing will be scratches .Jagr,Drury,Straka, Avery,Gomez,Shanny,Prucha,Dubinsky, Callahan or Betts. the only option to be scrated night in and out is orr Hollweg and Hossa, and that is obvious.

How can Hossa be in if the follwoing players wont be scrathed that i named, like I said only Hollywood and Orr are the ones.So I guess if you put 1 and 1 together, it makes sense. And also renney and sather are very high on Hossa which is why dawes ( who out played Hossa by miles was sent down, and why, becuase Hossa will most likley be a keeper. ) Thats most likly my opinion.

Hollwegs name is right there, in the opening roster.

Since when is HockeybasedNYC Tom Renny, he don't know who's going to be in or out. You said "I'm upset Hollweg won't be in the opening night lineup", when you don't know for sure. If anything, Orr probably sits, Hossa will play almost for sure, why wouldn't he?

It shouldn't be about that. Orr is a 4th liner, Hossa isn't. If Hossa can't find a spot on the first 3 lines where he should be...then he shouldn't be taking up a legit 4th liner's spot
