"No need to get excited - or unnerved, depending upon your point of view.

Glen Sather termed a web site report that he had turned down a five-year contract extension "complete fiction." And the Garden referred questions about that report back to MSG chairman Jim Dolan's comment to Rangers beat reports last fall that Sather can remain the club's president and GM for "as long as he wants."

The report, which cited "hockey insiders" as the source, appeared today under William Huston's byline on the Toronto Globe and Mail's "Globe on Hockey" blog."

Probaly @ this point Sather has no need to wrk on a multiyear contract, he just shows up day after day & gets paid.
If the Dolans were going to fire his ass it would have happened years ago.
