Go PENS GO (Unbeaten in 6 games !!)

Would that be amazing if the penguins just tie today ?? Devils doesn't have White , Rafalsky and Stevens tonight and the pens tied the philadelphia flyers sunday ... Maybe we will have a little chance

Cool! Florida's defence decided to give Luongo a rest. Nice for him, I think he's a nice enough guy. Even though TSN doesn't think this guy has talent, I think he could easily crack the top 20 goalies in the next 5-10 years.

I wonder if the pens have considered cooling their boots in order to get a shot at Ovechkin? I mean, a six game point streak won't help their cause v. washington. Sound far-fetched? Maybe. But last I saw, the shots were 23-5 for the Devils. Seems weird for a team on a tear.

Haha, this Fla-NYI game once again reinforces what an idiot Milbury is: the guy he takes over Luongo lets in 4 on 12 shots while the goalie he trades makes 50, including 26 in one damn period! Luongo is the Vezina winner, screw Brodeur, even Theo! And Belfour, the CBC (Complete Belfour Coverage, formerly known as Cujo Broadcasting Corporation, aka Cherry's ***** Corporation)/TSN's (Toronto Sports Network) idea of the best goalie in the league, is not even close to those three.

Is the Vezina decided before or after the playoffs? If it's before, I agree that Luongo deserves it, but if it's after, then it's still up for grabs...

Just imagine a guy like Luongo with a Flyers jersey. Wow, they would win the cup easily I think

There was a thread a while back over on the NHL board about whether or not the Vezina has ever been awarded to a non-playoff team goalie. Unfortunately, I can't recall the outcome of that debate because I left when it started turning nasty. Still, the concensus at the time was, 'no' it hadn't. Could be wrong though. I'm pretty sure the award goes for season, rather than playoff, play.

Since this thread is somewhat about us grabbing a playoff spot.

"The Canadiens’ magic number of points to clinch a playoff spot (either gained by themselves or not gained by the Sabres) narrowed to five."
(canadiens.com)

Hooray!
There's a Buffalo-Tampa game tonight, should be exciting!
