From the Selena Roberts article-

"Commissioner David Stern has offered a public silence over yesterday’s verdict in the civil case between Browne Sanders and the Garden, but N.B.A. team officials privately believe he will seek a discussion with Charles Dolan in an effort to diminish Jim’s power at the top.

It would not be surprising if N.H.L. Commissioner Gary Bettman, no doubt bracing for the Rangers’ trial fallout, followed Stern to the doorknocker at Daddy Dolan’s office."

Season ticket holders complaining about a GM, is one thing, a GM stating that the season ticket holders can go "F" themselves, is another.

And God forbid Dolan ever buys the Yankees. That only people who would be happy about that would be Met and Redsox fans.

Everyone in this came out looking like a *******.

Isiah looks worse than he ever did.

Dolan looks as slimey as ever.

And Browne Sanders looks like a greedy, selfish piece of ****.

She did it for all women? Then donate all the money you made to battered women or something.

Our country is a ****ing joke with lawsuits. She should've gotten a couple of years salary. THAT'S IT.

Lawsuits here are ridiculous. And this is so far over the top it's not even funny.

11 million for getting called a ***** and a guy who comes onto you once in a while? Give me a break.

It's punitive damages. Has nothing to do with what she deserves, and all to do with their cavalier manner in handling the matter.

It's based on how much money THEY make. Consider it a fine.

Too bad they can't set it up so that Dolan pays it by lowering ticket and cable prices.

That's because of the choices you've made--my bill is 40% of yours (not including Center Ice), so it's certainly possible to economize without suffering (unless of course you spend 24/7 in front of the TV).

Correct, and Saunders was making more than $600K per year. It's MSG money, $11.6M is a slap on the wrist. If they really want to make it interesting, make Thomas pay it if he wants to keep his job.

Exactly. Look at the money the Knicks shell out in luxury takes ($45M last season) and the money the Rangers just committed to Gomez and Drury ($80M+).... in comparison, the $11.6 is next to nothing.

Looks like Daddy Dolan is angry at his son. This is like the movie Billy Madison where the son kept messing up and the father had to look at other potential options for who will run his empire. James can sit by the pool chasing penguins and playing in his band.

It seems that my post in this thread got deleted. Any moderators have an explanation? Was it because of a pending lawsuit? Were you guys threatened?
