Big test this one, win this one and its confidence personified!

I may be in the minority but I wish Kariya all the best this season....except in games against us

3-0 Preds (Arnott, Erat, Ortmeyer)

Huge test for us. We've won two games at home against tired (albeit good) teams.

St. Louis is going to be fired up at home since its their home opener and I'm sure they are tired of losing to us...

Add to that, these are the two teams most likely to be fighting for the second central div. spot in the playoffs.

I thought we were playing better after the first goal (after about the 5 min. mark). That next goal hurt.

Sorry, watching on FSN.

Hordichuk got worked badly. Just like our team did that entire period. We looked terrible.

I thought we were supposed to have a hard nosed, hard working team. None of that that period. Guys couldn't hold passes, couldn't keep the puck, etc.

Kariya with 2 assists.

I loved Hordy's interview: "He has about six inches on me. A lot of guys told me he couldn't throw lefts, so I knew I just had to weather the storm... then he started throwing lefts".

It looked like he landed one that cut just below the eye. He did ok but didn't win.

STL is doing a good job of controlling the middle of the ice against our rushes and keeping us to the outside. When we get possession in the offensive end, STL is giving us the outside, but is collasping around the front of the net and taking away the shooting lanes.

Lots of blocked shots for STL that period. Gotta stay out of the penalty box. Gave STL two chances in the first period and they took advantage of them both.

Gotta get pressure on Legace early this period and get a couple past him, because we all know Murray will start trapping as the game progresses if he has the lead.

Last comment on that period is that we really need to start winning faceoffs. That is killing us on the PP and has also given STL a couple easy scoring chances.

Again, de Vries was one of the worst defenders on Atlanta's blueline last year.

He's proving to be just as useless for us.

Terrible game, unless the Predators grab a goal or two this period, we're done.
