Nashville - LA Proposal

To Nashville: Alexander Frolov
To LA: Ryan Suter

Frolov still has a very cap friendly contract but is not on LA's top line. LA needs someone to pair up with Johnson in the future and Suter and JJ are familiar with each other.

I'd do that deal if it was for Weber, the Preds probably wouldn't, but for Suter? I don't know.

I really like both players in the deal but I think I like Frolov better. The guy has 40 goal potetial written all over him, year after year. He and Kopitar will be a dynamic duo sooner rather than later. The Kings have Johnson and Hickey in the system so it's not like they are completely desperate for young dmen. Don't get me wrong, both are excellent young players with star potential.

I really like Suter but I don't see that making sense for the Kings. Alex is young, productive and rediculously inexpensive.

Counter offer. (to a Kings fan from a Kings fan)

to NSH - Frolov, Hickey

to LA - Weber

But, yes, I realize Nashville still wouldn't do it.

Except Weber has a very (and I mean very) legitimate chance to become the best defenseman in the NHL.

They know what they have in Shea and an offer would have to absolutely blow them away. The value may be reasonable but I can't see it being enough.
