I think Ryan's confidence is fine. Actually, if anything he is a little overconfident. But that's better than being totally nervous and scared.

Like you said, he needs to work on some little things in his game. Especially defense and taking care of the puck...not making as many high risk/high reward plays. It's kinda fun to watch as a fan, but not very effective in the NHL as far as W/L's.

Having watched him (Ryan) a couple games, I think he will be a legit top 6 forward.

King, OTOH, is a career AHL'er...with occassional call ups.

I think Ryan could stick with this team if his confidence level is where it should be. He showed a lot of skill in those four games and more importantly he seemed to mesh well with Bertuzzi. There were a lot of little things he was messing up with but when in the attacking zone and on the PP the kid knew what to do. Unfortunately he had to score points to stay and has to tear up the A to come back. But if Miller or May can't be the solution than I hope they give the kid another chance.
I agree, Ryan showed poise and skill with the puck - Miller and May are good 3rd\4th liners but have little value elsewhere. Ryan was effective on the PP and down low as well. Hopefully he's back soon, if not we need to deal for a forward.

According to the Times, Mowers has been practicing with McDonald and Bertuzzi, meaning it'll be Kunitz-Getzlaf-Perry. Who knows if this'll stick until tomrrow though.

Mowers in the top 6? Goody.

Mowers = King. Oh well, McDonald and Bertuzzi will continue to screw my fantasy hockey team.... At least now with Pahlsson and (soon) Giguere the team can win games without that line scoring.

You know, Mowers/King/Random Turd With Legs being useless on the Mac/Bertuzzi line wouldn't be so critical if Bertuzzi would actually do something.

Very true, everyone wants to talk about that 6th guy. However Bertuzzi has 2 points and 3 shots in 6 games. That is ugly no matter how you try to swing it.

In his semi-defense he has a groin strain that might have been holding him back the past couple games. But that's only Boston and Pittsburgh.

You would still hope that a 4 million dollar player would provide points in more than 1 out of 4 games.

He's a big oaf who just wants to injure people. Take him back, will ya?

He never really belonged in the NHL to begin with.

Whoever is with them for the time being will get exchanged for May by the end of the game. I don't know if May just can't handle the minutes to be there full time, but he gets on that 2nd line in the 3rd period almost every game.

McDonald is more worthless than Bertuzzi right now. The guy has given us nothing yet.

Just goes to show, if a defensemen isn't noticed, it's usually a good thing. If a top 6 forward isn't noticed...not so good.
Alot of nucks fans pulled their hair out at what they thought King would/could do and then realize-what he will do

I think its hard to knock player production over these beginning games.

A bunch of the games were flat by the ducks and generated little offense.

I would rather hear about people knocking bert and andy's play, than just look at their point production.
