We got Bure for Igor Ulanov, Filip Novak, a 1st (which became Eric Nystrom), a second (Rob Globke), and a 4th (which I can't find).

We got Lindros for Jan Hlavac, Kim Johnsson, and Pavel Brendl.

Neither of those worked out terribly well, but it's not as if we gave up a ton.

I'm talking post-2004. Give Sather credit where credit is due. They devised a plan and they have stuck to it.

I think outside of all those guys only Hlavav & Johnsson are stil NHLer's

Gotta agree with you.

I was a doubter until Sather didn't bite on Rucinsky at the trade deadline last season.

Telling that kid to "piss off" was the clincher.
