Well with Dubi being KO'ed by richardson, who foresees him being in the next game and if so what kind of contract do we give him? Cant be much, but I can see Sather bringing him in now to center the third line. Dont really know how I feel about it, but I guess a lot will ride on how Dubi fares...
1-Dubinsky is fine
2-The Rangers have indicated they will continue to monitor Scatchard until Wednesday and then make a decision
And regarding Scatchard, the free agent who skated with the Rangers for a second day as a tryout, Tom Renney sounded as if he views the veteran center as bound for Hartford as an insurance policy against an injury at the NHL level rather than as a way to bump rookie Brandon Dubinsky out of the lineup.
Dubinsky losing a fight means he's on the way to Hartford? Orr lost his too. How about him? It's not a disgrace to lose a fight--I actually like that Dubinsky gets involved--shows he has character--and Richardson is a strong guy and an experienced fighter.
Scatchard would be a good depth / veteran signing. Yes he has been hurt, but this kind of signing would be a 1 year deal, at $475T. He's big, good on faceoffs and is a physical forward will a decent amount of skill, something we need.
