TSN NHL Power Rankings

ZOMG...Blues #10!!!1!

http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/feature/?fid=548

An interesting comment I was listening to the other day (can't recall what channel, who the announcers were but it was probably TSN) that mentioned that those teams that tended to be there in the finals at the end of the year often had a great October so that they weren't under the gun to make the play offs in April.

That is off-topic and not really the point but I like how this team battles. There is really no "franchise" player at this point. Alot of really good players all playing tough and jumping from line to line as necessary, filling in spots. If our G holds up I think we might actually be in the thick of the playoff race.

The defence will only get better, with McKee and Brewer back, and as Wagner and E.J. get more experience playing with their shiftmates and the two goalies. I don't see a problem in goal (even with injury), as either Legace or Toivonen can handle the #1 position. I think The Blues will be in the thick of the playoff race all season (even jocying for seeding positions).

A balanced lineup, led by the mild-mannered duo of Paul Kariya and Brad Boyes, gives the Blues a fighting chance to be competitive this year, even with half of their starting defence corps in the infirmary.
Key Injuries: D Erik Johnson (foot), D Eric Brewer (shoulder).
I agree with that. I'm glad we are starting to get respect,
