Lucic:
"“Playing the first five games on the road, you’re kind of wondering what it’s like at home,” Lucic said. “It’s going to be something new for me. I can’t wait for the puck to drop. I’ve heard a lot of stuff about the old Garden. A lot of people said I would have been good in that rink, it would have suited me well. I’ve heard a lot about the tradition of the Boston Bruins and the standard they set in the old Garden. Our main focus is we want to get back to that."

Great to hear stuff like that.

Interesting take on everyone ready to give up on Manny Fernandez 5 games into the season...

“I keep repeating myself about Manny,” Julien said. “Anybody who’s been around the league knows that this is a great goaltender. Just because we’re (through) Game 5 and he hasn’t had the kind of start everyone was expecting, I think we all kind of have to back off a little bit and give him an opportunity to get his game where it should be.”

I love this kid. I bet the Garden will be rocking tonight when he steps onto the ice for the first time!

Kudos to Julien for standing by Manny.

Common sense when looking at what the guy has gone through as of late. Away from the game for what, 9 months, just coming off a major injury.

Bruins fans (like many fans) can be very fickle at times, but he does need to get his game back very soon.

As an aside, are we willing to give the guy a season to do it? Half-season? At what point do we start to worry? Personally, I say he needs at least 10 games, and thats 10 games he plays, not the Bruins to have enough time to get back to where he should be.

Its cool for those kids...I was estatic when I was on it as a kid...waited half-way through the season (they taped it at BC during the summer)to see it and although they butchered my name unrecognizable it was awesome at the time. I had it on a VHS tape but unfortunately my brother taped soft-core porn off USA Network over it...cheap *******,by a blank VHS.

Mini one on one isnt played at the garden, its played on sept 29th and NESN shows it between periods. They had it on 38 for years.. its good to see it come back. I have the Video of when my Uncle was on it. I dont know why they got rid of it.

Now if they could only tel DiGregorio to stop being so stupid and impose tag up offsides and let the kid ice the damn puck on the penalty kill.

'nugs, I couldn't agree more ! Chiarelli was absolute in what he wanted a Bruin to be. What a Bruin must be. Now he has the opportunity to walk the walk. Anything short of the kid staying up will tell me if Chia is just full of spin or if we really got the makings of a plan........

Coakley cites firms for child labor violations

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley issued citations against two companies that do business at the Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield for multiple violations of the state's Child Labor Law.

According to Coakley, the center's concert promoter, Live Nation Inc. of California, and the center's concession operator, Sportservice, which is part of Delaware North Cos. of Buffalo, N.Y., were cited for a total of $16,000 in penalties for employing minors after 10 p.m. on many school nights and for employing minors who didn't have work permits.

I don't even understand at this point, why there is any debate in weather he'll go back to the giants. If he shows up for this game like he did every other game/practice. This kid should find himself an apartment. Hell, maybe Chia could send the message to the Giants early, and let Lucic get settled in.

I understand that it's fun to take jabs at JJ whenever you get the chance, but I'm sure he had nothing to do with that. It's a branch of his huge corporation, so I'm sure he has very little knowledge of the day-to-day operations and had no idea who was hired or working at any point in time (except the execs of course).

You're right about not having first hand knowledge.

But he's been the bane of my existence for over 30 years, so I will enjoy his blackeye however remote he is from the actual operation.

Now, as the CEO/owner, it does not disqualify him from ultimate reponsibility to have a code of conduct for business practices that comply with all laws. Not having knowledge does not make him outside the law.
