If Jeff O'Neill doesn't get qualified or traded, i'll eat my hat. Why would we go from being in talks with lots of teams to deal him before his injury to throwing him out the door?

I expect all the Sabres to be qualified, with Campbell and Connolly receiving 2-way offers because they appeared in less than 60 NHL games this season. There's no way Regier won't qualify Connolly unless he receives a medical opinion that he should retire.
