I won't be chanting against him - not with the circumstance in which he left. If he pulled a Dunham, I'd let him have it. I hope he gets a warm welcome and if he plays, I'd rather not hear the "you suck" but no doubt I will. I'll be in a suite for this one, living it up haha

I totally agree - there's no way in hell that Vokoun deserves the "you suck" chant.
I am not saying he doesn't deserve it, but I am quite surprised its Ellis tonight. Maybe Trotz doesn't want Mason to put a bunch of pressure on himself playing against Vokoun and then play poorly. The starting position maybe up for grabs.

I think I agree with you, but it is a sad situation. Your number 1 shouldnt be so mentally fragile that he cant handle big games, thats when you know you need .
There is an extremely poor lack of communication/understanding between Ellis and his dmen. They have clashed for pucks on several occasions - I don't know if this is a product of Ellis developing in the Dallas system and tending to handle the puck more, but something needs to be done quickly, or we're going to see some easy giveaways before too long.
Its too bad Mason didn't get to play against the Panthers, especially considering this is an out of conference game. That said, good performance by the boys tonight, and a solid effort by Ellis again. A 5 on 3 goal and a Penalty shot goal....how can you be upset by those?
Mason emphatically said that he wished he was playing in tonights game during the 3rd period.
Yes, it was good to hear him say that. So I am wondering if Trotz didn't think he could handle the pressure or am I reading too much into it and he just felt that Ellis deserved the start?
Either way, solid win tonight. This team has played much better in their own zone. While there is still improvement to be bad, I agree it is hard to complain with their performance.
I think the difference the last few games offensively is that they are throwing the puck at the net and guys are crashing and picking up gritty goals. I think that is what we expected coming into the season. We need to see guys like Fiddler and Smithson pitching in like they have, every once in a while for this team to be as good as they could be. Great play by Bonk on the game winner. All that traffic, just flip it. Great job by Smithson getting wiped out so his butt could score the GW

That penalty shot was a gift, just saw the highlights on NHLN. Puck was never covered in the crease.
