Should be a fun ride if we meet in the PO's, as long as the refs are fair that is.
fair series would never happen, crosby gets his way and thats all their is to it

canning briere would be fun but come on you have to say toronto... if we had to kill one team next week it would be them

Team played well...considering what they were up against. When we got the 3-0 lead, i actually developped a pit in my stomach sensing how things were going to deteriorate fast. These huge leads are ironically very scary lately, cuz there's so much to lose. I don't think anybody played badly tonight. Some played amazingly. Props to Cube and Markov. When we lose, it's easy for some to hate on these guys, but i simply adore the team when we come out with a win like this (the release of endorphins after the shootout...wow!). I've actually always been a Dandy fan, cuz i think he works hard all the time, exemplified tonight. Kovy did not play atrocious. He didn't play great, but he was by no means terrible. We just expected alot more from him after last night. I think Carbo's line selection was appropriate. Gorges was the right type of player for this situation and Kosty held his own.

Is it just me, or did you guys sort of detect some concern from Kovalev after he hit his countryman and probably friend/protege Malkin into the boards? It's like he bent over to see if he was ok before Sandy intervened. It wasn't even a dirty hit or anything, just badly timed and bad body position.

Oh....and with reference to Price....this is exactly what we've been waiting for, a hero (don't get me wrong, Huet's my boy too). Comes up huge when we need him the most. Like Jaques said, even Roy has let in bad goals, but we all know it's the bottom line that counts. I'm really so excited about the future. If nothing else, it's fun to be watching a team with skills and a chance to win every night, displaying wonderful, gripping hockey to watch. It's been awhile since we've been able to say that. Hamrlik, big part of that. GO HABS GO!!!

While Price was good, I believe he's showing that he's no God and that is just great like that. He still has tons to learn about the pace of the game, his play with the puck and his 5-hole deficiencies are just proof that he's learning.

Strangely, I don't believe a Pen went 5-hole on him on the shootout.

Great save on the Malkin breakway during the game and in the shootout. That was huge.

Good all-around game by a lot of people. It was Kovy worst game of the season. Bouillon was just great. So was Chipchura. Latendresse was a non-factor again. Kosty was so-so. And I'm speechless about Markov.....Is he top 10 as for the d-men of the league? What do you think? Shouldn't even be an hesitation there....

Good game, 6 points out of 6 for the week, I mean how can we ask for more?

Good news is the 5-hole is the easiest weakness to overcome. It's the goalers that are weak up-stairs that never reach the upper echelons.

I was actually impressed with Lats. Played a very solid 2-way game, was deep in our zone with hustle a lot tonight. I think the message to Lats was play hard at both ends and don't press to get points. They'll come eventually.

C'mon after what he pulled with us...saying he wanted in Mtl just to raise the biddings to sign elsewhere...and Gagne's comment that he chose the team that has the more chances to win (15th in the East? yea right)...We need to make a point when we play them, just this once; then i'll agree to go back to the good ol' Leaf hating religion.
